Siddharth decides to expose Pappu Yadav's crimes and kidnaps his fiancee Varalakshmi (Trisha Krishnan) as a bargaining chip. This leads to a cat-and-mouse game between Siddharth and Pappu Yadav, with many twists and turns along the way.

The movie was released on November 30, 2006 and received mixed reviews from critics and audiences. The movie was praised for its action sequences, cinematography, and music by Harris Jayaraj, but criticized for its weak script, editing, and direction. The movie was also dubbed in Tamil as Kumaran with some additional comedy scenes involving Vadivelu. The movie was a major flop at the box office, failing to recover its budget of Rs. 25 crore.
